Lars Marius Garshol

Lars Marius is an engineer at Schibsted where he works on Schibsted’s global data platform. Before that he was a consultant and architect for many years, focusing on semantic technology (RDF). Before that again he was co-founder of a company selling semantic technology (Topic Maps), where he developed and implemented a query language for this technology that was used to build a large number of applications. He was also editor for the ISO standard for the Topic Maps Query Language. He’s been an open source developer for about 20 years. He implemented the Unicode support in the Opera web browser, and wrote a book on XML application development. In his spare time he does research on traditional farmhouse beer brewing.
